The research team at Motorola Solutions is tasked with helping our stakeholders across the organization envision the future of technology, while bringing to market real-world solutions today. We do this through understanding the unique needs and challenges of our customers in mission critical situations through immersive and ethnographic research.

Our technologies help firefighters ensure every last team member makes it out of a building, police officers can make informed decisions, and businesses can keep their people and property protected.

Responsibilities include:

Planning and leading end user research to understand workflows, environments, needs, pain points, opportunities, and product experience issues.

Disseminate research insights and findings to key business stakeholders including product designers, product managers, and business unit executives.

Influence product strategy and priorities through driving a design-led, human centered approach to design, product development and innovation across design, product management and software development stakeholder organizations.

Advance the practice of experience research by evolving research and dissemination methodologies, strategy, skills and tools.

Post Covid-19, this role will require 50%+ domestic travel

Basic Requirements:
7+ years professional experience in human centered experience research.

Bachelor's degree in UX/Interaction Design, Anthropology, Sociology, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field or Masters degree in Design, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology or related field.
