Job description

This is a project with a nationally recognized Art Museum to reimagine arts outreach programs to rural communities.

5 month long project with periods work starting in late Jan 2022 through late May 2022

Approx 150 hrs of work over 5 months

Mostly remote, with one overnight trip to Fort Worth, TX in March, 2022. Exact date TBD

There will be a Snr UX strategist assigned to this project, but you will play a main role in this work, so will be performing qualitative/ethnographic research and analysis, offering UX consulting and facilitation, delivering final recommendations.



$85/hr, flexible depending on experience

Travel expenses to/from site reimbursed + std per diem, OR std gas mileage reimbursed plus std per diem

(Travel time is not paid)



3+ years of UX/ethnography experience, 3+ years of workforce experience

Experience in one or more of these areas:

  •      Nonprofit sector (museum preferred)
  •      Program design
  •      Non-digital design experience
  •      Digital experience design

Ethnographic/qualitative data analysis and insight production

Workshop facilitation experience

Final Deliverable Creation: Journey Mapping, Personae or slide decks

Creative thinker - Can quickly move from micro to macro thinking and back 


Preferred Experience

Contextual interviewing

Articulate and write client-ready research study plan(s)

Video editing
