We help leading organizations drive sustainable growth by applying human-centered research to emerging cultural, business, and technological shifts. Our teams combine social science and strategy to deliver impactful, culturally-relevant solutions.
HOW WE WORK
Our areas of focus, which we call “verticals” are: Societal Impact, Social Tech, and Brand-led Growth. Strategists specialize in 1 or 2 areas and build their expertise within a dominant practice. Below are brief descriptions of those verticals:
Societal Impact
We help governments, foundations, non-profits, and companies create positive social change through high-impact initiatives in education, sustainability, cultural expression, and human flourishing. Based in Abu Dhabi, our practice serves a wide range of clients in the Middle East and collaborates closely with Gemic teams in Europe and North America.
Locations: UAE (Abu Dhabi or Dubai preferred, open to remote)
Social Tech
Social Tech at Gemic examines the relationship between humans and technology in order to build toward values-based futures in collaboration with the biggest tech companies in the world as well as startups that are rethinking ideas of trust, safety, and regulation.
Locations: New York (in person) and Toronto (remote)
Brand-led Growth
Brand-led Growth sits at the intersection of brand, business and innovation. We guide companies on taking bold steps forward by amplifying ownable equities, creating new categories and accelerating growth. As a cross-disciplinary vertical, we work cross-industry, client team, globally, and end-to-end.
Locations: New York and Berlin (in person,) Toronto (remote)
THE GEMIC INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Our internships are a great opportunity to explore consulting as a whole and Gemic’s specific social science-led approaches to strategy consulting.
You’ll be based in one of our offices for a 3-4 month paid engagement and hit the ground running as a key member of project teams. In addition to taking part in different project phases (including potentially traveling for fieldwork and client meetings), you’ll have a senior team member as your mentor to support your development.
This is a full-time opportunity (40 hours per week). Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate part time engagements. We expect engagements to occur in person, not remotely unless otherwise noted.
We’re looking to place interns based on availability as soon as this Fall or early 2026. If you’re looking for Summer 2026 opportunities, we encourage you to apply now.
Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorships in every location. The successful candidates must have permission to work (or can easily obtain work authorization) in the country to which they are applying.
