UX Research Data Analyst
3+ month contract, full-time (20-40 hrs/week)
100% Remote with meetings on Pacific and/or Eastern time
Pay range: $60 to $100/hour
Independent contractor must be based in the U.S. or Canada (with work authorization)
Start: February 2025
Job Duties:
Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform digital marketing and user experience design. Extract, parse, and clean data from various sources.
Data Extraction/Reporting: Extract data using SQL queries on data warehouses such as Snowflake. Combine, manipulate, and refine data to create dashboards and visualizations and tell stories of the data’s meaning with tools such as Power BI.
Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical methods to validate hypotheses and ensure the robustness of research findings.
Collaboration: Work closely with qualitative UX research teams and the data analytics team to integrate quantitative insights and statistical rigor into research narratives.
Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Use AI Tools: Use tools such as Relevance.ai, Outset.ai, MS Copilot, and Chat GPT to increase the efficiency of data analysis and research.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Ideal candidates have a background in data analytics and are familiar with UX research methods.
Education: Prefer an advanced degree in behavioral sciences (ethnography), economics, data science, statistics, or a related field. Proficiency in statistical methods and software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) with the ability to interpret complex data and distill it into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in using data warehouses such as Snowflake.
Proficiency with web analytics tools such as Fullstory.
Experience using journey mapping tools, such as TheyDo.
Experience with machine learning techniques.
